The Beginning of Square-1
In 2015 our founder, Travis Smith, left a large technical services company to seize an opportunity which was largely going unfulfilled in the Southern California medical device marketplace. Small and medium size OEMs needed help with their technical projects but often times didn't get the attention of the big technical service and consulting firms. The large firms targeted huge projects often overlooking the small ones. These large service companies also operated rigidly, imposing their process on their customers, processes which were cumbersome and didn't work well with the end user. This approach and void in the marketplace presented a prime opportunity for a different type of consulting and technical services model.
Square-1 was formed as a technical services firm to provide a boutique, world class service experience initially to small and medium size medical device company's by using a hybrid approach in combining consulting support and CAD services to offer a truly flexible and unique service.
As our company has grown throughout the years' we've been able to grow our service offering expanding our capabilities to support large globally positioned companies while still remaining true to our original intent in starting a business which focuses on both quality outputs and a world class customer experience. 'Leave Them Speechless' is one of our core principles which guides us in our daily endeavors.
