POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Account Executive is a sales entrepreneur! We’re looking for people who are interested in working for a great company with untapped potential while also offering future business ownership potential. The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for full-cycle business to business outside sales, targeting key customers within Square-1’s area of service. Square-1 sees this role as a new customer acquirer. SAE will lead all sales activities relating to key customer identification, prospecting, customer engagement and closing on sales opportunities.

Square-1 sees this role as a new customer acquirer. SAE will lead all sales activities relating to key customer identification, prospecting, customer engagement and closing on sales opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead efforts in developing a brand-new sales territory for our organization in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN (Twin Cities)
- Successfully land four (4) new projects a month by leading efforts in business development on behalf of SQR1. SAE activities include lead generation, new client outreach, cold calling, networking and closing sales opportunities
- Be/ become an industry expert advising prospective and current clients with key insight and strategy based on market trends and their business needs / objectives
- Seek and qualify prospects in accordance with Company goals via lead generation, cold calling, email campaigns, industry events and onsite customer meetings
- Build long term relationships with industry professionals and customers to drive marketplace branding and customer acquisition
- Communicate with clients to collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms
- Manage active and ongoing projects within your respective client base
- Drive personal vehicle to attend customer meetings, conventions, networking events, etc
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year college degree from an accredited university preferred
- 5+ years sales experience generating revenue and developing a pipeline of customer opportunities via outside business to business (B2B) sales, preferably within a services sector
- Experience prospecting and closing new clients
- Experience developing and maintaining long term customer relationships and engagements
- Experience utilizing a hands-on and proactive approach to customer service
- Willingness to travel throughout the greater Twin Cities area and beyond to attend tradeshows, networking events, and onsite customer meetings on a weekly basis
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills which can be used in a sales and client service capacity
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office software tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
COMPENSATION:
- Base salary will range from $70-100k+, depending on experience
- Additional quarterly bonus structure based on both individual merit and company performance
